Pianist and composer Erik Wallander recently released his third studio-album ”FEATHERWEIGHT”, a record completely serious in its light-heartedness. Freely blending genres such as Disco, Funk, Lo-fi and Pop, and tying it all together with the thread of danceability, he has managed to create something that is original yet so very familiar.

Late to the scene, Erik started dabbling in music at the age of 16. While this came with obvious disadvantages, it also came with opportunity. Having no preconceived notion of how things were supposed to be, he felt free to try any genre in any way. This is something that continues to influence and define him, and in the close future, he is set to release music in the genres of Afrobeat, Classical and Big-band.
